Seven days connecting Kathmandu, the city with Himalayan views, and Chitwan, where wildlife pulses. Upon arrival a Japanese-speaking guide will accompany you to experience moments of prayer at World Heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Temple and the Boudhanath Stupa. Midtrip you will travel by private vehicle to the southern Terai region. In Chitwan National Park you will stay in a jungle lodge with opportunities to see rhinos and a variety of birds on jeep safaris and canoe trips on the Rapti River. At dusk enjoy a Tharu stick dance. Later, fly back to Kathmandu and stroll the cobbled streets of Patan and Bhaktapur. This itinerary condenses history, nature, and culture with comfortable transfers for a well-balanced Nepal experience. Start the next morning with warm chai, follow animal tracks on a jungle walk with a naturalist, and observe kingfishers and crocodiles. If you are lucky you may sense the presence of a Bengal tiger.
