Travel story
A climb of about two hours from a mountain village takes you to a place higher than Mount Fuji. This five-day journey visits Kuri, at an altitude of 3,842 m, where you’ll encounter Himalayan peaks and a sacred site in the mountains. Travel by car from Kathmandu to Kuri Village, stay overnight, and set out on a hike the next morning. After enjoying the mountain scenery beyond the temple, explore Kathmandu’s World Heritage Sites. This trip lets you experience both mountain vistas and Nepalese culture, which reveres the mountains.

From Kuri Village, at an altitude of 3,447 m, head to the Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. After climbing about 400 m in elevation, take in a panorama of the Himalayas. The journey to the mountain village is by car.

Head to Kuri Village by car, watching terraced fields and villages pass by, and explore the village after arrival.
