This itinerary consists of 10 days touring major cities and mountainous areas within Georgia.
Starting from the capital Tbilisi, it covers the wine culture of the Kakheti region, ancient villages in Svaneti, and the mountainous scenery around Kazbegi.
A Japanese guide will accompany throughout the journey, providing guidance and support for historical buildings, villages, and natural landscapes.

Today, we will explore the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Wander in the old districts of the city which are structured like terraces, as well as take a walk in the narrow streets to enjoy colorful houses, patterned balconies and wonderful samples of modern architecture.
We will start the tour from Metekhi Church (13th century) facing the magnificent views over old Tbilisi. A stroll along winding little streets takes us to the main sights of the city.
Afterwards, we enjoy the panoramic views of the whole town and, through the ancient Narikala Fortress (4th century), find ourselves in the historical domed sulphur bath area—connected with the name of our city.

Then, we continue the journey by visiting the estate of Alexander Chavchavadze, the local prince of the 19th century. The complex in Tsinandali embraces the memorial house, a landscape garden, a historical winery. It was in the Tsinandali winery that the Georgian wine was first bottled. The landscape garden in Tsinandali is the first European-type recreation zone in Georgia; it is unique for its exotic plants and layout.

Afterwards, we will visit the Georgian traditional wine cellar in the village of Kondoli. The host has a special love for wine, which is reflected in the quality of the wine produced by him. Here we will taste the most distinctive, natural wine "Zhghia", which is made from the rarest and highest quality Kakhetian grapes (only 6,000 bottles in a year). It should be noted that this wine has already cleared its way to the European market.

Today we visit village Ushguli, which is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The village is located at 2,200 m and is the highest continuously inhabited village in Europe. The village is most famous for its abundance of watchtowers, and this is where you get the view of the highest mountain in Georgia – Mt. Shkhara (5,068 m). We will visit Lamaria Church (12th century).

As we continue, we’ll pause at the Gudauri viewpoint, known for its panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains. It’s a refreshing stop before we reach Stepantsminda, a small mountain town surrounded by impressive peaks and the perfect base for exploring the area.
Upon arrival, visit Gergeti Trinity Church.

From Juta, start a pleasant walk to the foot (2,580 m) of Mt. Chaukhebi (3,842 m), which is a continuation of walking in beautiful nature. Ascend for about half an hour and here one can see the picturesque Mt. Chaukhebi. Then, take the same way back to the village of Juta.
Walking time: 3,5 hrs. ↑↓ 680 m. 9 km.
