Travel story
Moving slowly under a low sky.
Forests, ports, and canals — all faces of the same country.
A quiet Netherlands guided by wind and water.
-
On this 12-day journey, you will visit the Netherlands' "hidden gems." You'll encounter historic small towns, vast forests, flat green polders, and dune-lined coastlines — a variety of landscapes. Transportation itself is diverse: trains, buses, a steam tram, walking, cycling, and even a museum ship, so the trip becomes an experience. While visiting the birthplace of Miffy and a lesser-known Van Gogh museum, you'll also make time for the capital, Amsterdam, ensuring you catch the highlights.
Signature points
Base yourself in small towns and walk the Netherlands at human scale
Stay in historic towns such as Haarlem, Hoorn, and Enkhuizen to leisurely enjoy cobbled squares and harbor scenes. Amsterdam is arranged as an efficient day trip to cover the highlights. Because this is a stay-focused itinerary, you’ll see the calm everyday life of the Netherlands.
Scenery that changes across forests, dunes, and polders
Experience diverse natural landscapes from the vast forests of the Veluwe, to flat green polders, to dune-lined coastlines. In this compact country you can truly feel how dramatically the scenery changes. This is a three-dimensional Dutch journey that goes beyond city sightseeing.
Routes designed so the journey itself becomes the story
An itinerary combining many modes of transport — train, bus, steam tram, museum ship, bicycle, and on foot. Each transfer changes your perspective and the distance to the landscape. The design lets you enjoy not only the destinations but the process of getting there.

Today you can find a square and a museum dedicated to Miffy - but keep in mind the museum is meant for kids age 2-6.
