Travel story
The earth splits,
water spurts up, and waterfalls plunge.
Here, the planet itself feels just a little closer.
—
This condensed 4-day journey showcasing the charms of Iceland is based in Reykjavik and visits the Golden Circle and the south coast.
You can experience, in a short time, the dynamic nature created by volcanoes and ice: geysers, massive waterfalls, tectonic rifts, and black sand beaches. The itinerary also includes experiences unique to this land, such as exploring ice caves and visiting a geothermal greenhouse.
Even with a limited schedule, this trip lets you fully feel the landscapes and raw power of nature that are quintessentially Icelandic.
Signature points
Feel the earth's energy on the Golden Circle
At Friðheimar, a geothermal greenhouse facility, enjoy Iceland's unique approach to agriculture and food experiences. Afterwards, visit the Strokkur geyser that erupts every few minutes and the Gullfoss waterfall that cascades as if carving the land. This route, representative of Iceland, lets you feel the planet's powerful forces up close.
Encounter dramatic scenery on the south coast
See the impressive Skógafoss, walk behind the falls at Seljalandsfoss, and visit the black sand beach Reynisfjara formed by volcanic activity. From there, landscapes with glaciers looming nearby continue to appear—an ever-changing array of nature. This is a highlight route where you can experience many quintessential Icelandic sights at once.
Ice caves of Katla and an unknown Iceland
A special experience walking inside blue ice caves formed by volcanic activity and ice. The trip packs in adventure elements such as driving in a super jeep and exploring remote areas. The mysterious ice world spreading at the foot of Katla volcano is a major highlight of this journey.
