A trip to Costa Rica is like a moment weaving a poem of nature. When you land at San Jose airport, the exotic breeze caresses your cheeks, and your heart already announces the beginning of an adventure. On the way to Cahuita, lush landscapes spread outside the window, heightening the anticipation of the journey.
The next morning, encountering the gentle figures of sloths at the sloth sanctuary makes you forget the passage of time. In the Sarapiquí Nature Reserve, colorful butterflies and birds dance around, making you feel as if you are inside a painting woven by nature. The chocolate-making experience, infused with the scent of cacao, engraves sweet memories in your heart.
In the early morning at San Gerardo de Dota, you catch your breath at the beauty of the quetzal and savor the moment of touching nature's mysteries. At the Los Angeles Church in Cartago, you are moved by the depth of history and healed by the sacred spring of water.

    Arrival in Costa Rica, to Kauita

  • From Airport to Hotel Arrival in Costa Rica. A Japanese guide will be waiting with a name board near the airport exit.
    After meeting, we will transfer to Kauita by the welcoming vehicle (approximately 4.5 to 5 hours).

    Sloth Sanctuary and Sarapiquí Nature Reserve Tour

  • From the Hotel to the Sloth Sanctuary After breakfast, depart from the hotel and move to the sloth sanctuary. [Japanese Guide]

  • Sloth Sanctuary Tour Arrival at the Sloth Sanctuary. We will observe the sloths being cared for at the facility (approximately 1 hour).
    *Please note that this is a wildlife sanctuary, so interactions with the animals and taking photos with them are generally prohibited.
    *The sanctuary is closed on Mondays and Christmas. Please adjust your travel schedule to ensure that the second day does not fall on a Monday.
    *This is in case of changing the tour to a total of 2 hours. In that case, the tour will allow for a more in-depth visit to areas where the sloths are cared for and raised. [Japanese Guide]

  • Sarapiquí Nature Reserve Tour After lunch, take a walk through the reserve with a guide. Look for sloths, colorful frogs, tropical butterflies such as Morpho butterflies and owl butterflies in the butterfly garden, various wild birds including toucans, finches, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers, as well as the very rare all-white bat known as the white-throated bat.
