Uyuni Salt Flats
We will first visit the Train cemetery (very old locomotives since the Carbon era), the town of Colchani, where we will see the manual processing of salt, handicrafts and salt museum. Then, we will enter the Uyuni salt flats (12,000 km2) and will see the “Montones de sal” and how locals extract the salt. We will visit Playa Blanca hotel and the Incahuasi Island with its giant cacti that is located in the middle of the salt flats. After a beautiful sunset in the middle of the endless expanse of glittering salt, we will go back to Uyuni town.

After dinner you will be picked up from your hotel to enter the Uyuni salt flat again and marvel at the starry sky as far as the eye can see. Without light pollution the stars are much brighter.

We will pass through the high plateau desert known as the Siloli Desert, where we will see the Stone Tree and visit a small island where, with luck, we will see viscachas.
Then we will head to Laguna Colorada, where we may see pink flamingos. We will pass through the geysers before arriving at our overnight accommodation.

At around 09:00p.m., you will be picked up from the center of San Pedro de Atacama to begin the astronomy tour (this tour is shared with other participants).
This tour offers a unique experience that traces the history of the universe, from the Big Bang to the origin of life and consciousness. Through a cosmological talk, passengers will discover where we are in the universe, how it all began, and the possible futures of the cosmos.
The experience continues with observation of the sky with the naked eye, recognizing constellations and visible objects, and then with observation through a telescope, appreciating in detail the most prominent celestial bodies of the night.

This valley owes its name to the extraordinary variety of colors displayed on its hills: reddish, green, white, and ocher tones, the result of millions of years of geological and mineral processes. The landscape is a veritable open book on the history of the Earth, where time, wind, and erosion have shaped a unique and surprising environment.

At around 4:00 p.m., you will depart to visit one of the region's main tourist attractions: the unmissable Valley of the Moon (a shared tour lasting approximately 4.5 hours).
The site is located about 20 km from the city and is at approximately the same altitude (2,550 m).
This is an authentic movie set; a magical place that evokes lunar landscapes, composed of sand dunes and rocks sculpted by erosion, wind, and, of course, time. But it is at sunset that you will be able to appreciate the spectacular beauty of this natural setting. All this accompanied by a local aperitif: the famous pisco sour. Cheers!
