Travel story
A 5-day journey through Costa Rica, a paradise in Central America, exploring colorful tropical rainforests, mysterious mountain regions, and hot springs blessed by volcanoes.
The trip begins in the capital, San José, then heads to San Gerardo de Dota, a cloud forest village where the legendary quetzal flutters.
On the Caribbean side in the Sarapiquí rainforest, encounters with diverse wildlife await, including sloths, toucans, and the rare white bats that gleam in the dark. Enjoy walks in nature reserves, a hands-on chocolate-making experience from cacao, and nighttime jungle explorations—a special time to experience nature with all your senses.
The trip concludes with a relaxing soak in the hot springs at the foot of Arenal Volcano in Fortuna. This is a tour filled with emotion and discovery, wrapped in the pulse of the great outdoors and the brilliance of life.
Signature points
Mountain lodge stay in search of the legendary quetzal
Stay in San Gerardo de Dota, nestled in high-elevation forests, and embark on a special birdwatching experience to seek the world-famous quetzal.
With explorations twice daily—early morning and afternoon—we'll guide you deep into the tranquil, clear-air forest.
If you're fortunate, you'll be able to observe up close the elegant bird with vivid green and red plumage.
Feel the heartbeat of life in the Sarapiquí rainforest
Stay in a privately managed nature reserve in the biodiverse Sarapiquí on the Caribbean side. With a guide, search for sloths, colorful frogs, toucans, morpho butterflies, and a variety of other creatures.
At night, take a night tour to observe nocturnal animals.
You can also enjoy a chocolate-making experience using pesticide-free cacao.
安心旅 with a Japanese-speaking guide
A Japanese-speaking guide accompanies you during sightseeing and transfers, providing careful explanations about the flora, fauna, and natural environment.
Being able to understand the local charms without language worries is a major benefit.
Even first-time visitors to Costa Rica can confidently enjoy the nature experiences.
