On this trip, you will stay two nights in Mikumi National Park in southern Tanzania and enjoy encounters with wildlife through multiple game drives. Rather than the well-known northern safari hubs, this itinerary focuses on a relatively less-visited area to bring you closer to nature.
Travel uses local trains and vehicles, with a stop in Morogoro to visit the local town. Accommodation in the park is at tented lodges, designed so you can quietly observe the movement of animals at dawn and dusk while breathing the savanna air.

At the heart of this park is the Mukata Plain, an expanse of grassland where a diverse range of animals can be observed, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, hippos, warthogs, and impalas. The lions of the Mukata Plain are particularly known for individuals that sometimes climb trees.
In addition, the landscape dotted with baobab and acacia trees and the presence of several hundred bird species are also attractions. It is a flagship safari destination in southern Tanzania, combining easy access with unspoiled nature.
