Travel story
Between blue and red
Sand, stones, and voices overlap
A landscape not defined by color rises
—
On this journey, you will travel south through Morocco’s major cities and natural landscapes from Casablanca to Marrakech. On the first day you will move from Casablanca to Chefchaouen and stroll through the old town known as the "Blue City." Next you will stay in Fez to visit the historic medina’s winding alleys and cultural sites.
Midway you will head to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and stay at a camp surrounded by sand dunes. Sunrise and sunset views and cultural experiences in a Berber village are included. Then, passing through the Dades Gorge and crossing mountain areas, you will arrive at the final destination, Marrakech.
Travel is by private SUV, and stays in riads are arranged so you can savor the distinct spaces and rhythms of each city.
Signature points
Immerse yourself in color: the old medinas of Chefchaouen and Fez
Chefchaouen wrapped in blue, and Fez’s intricately interwoven medina.
Experience layers of structure and sensation that can only be seen by walking.
Feel the shifts of terrain and time: crossing the Sahara and the gorges
Sand dunes, stones, and flowing rivers. Each texture gradually shifts the journey’s center of gravity.
You will stay between sunset and sunrise, between sound and silence.
A southward route that draws out a gradient of spaces
From Casablanca to Marrakech. Changes in color, temperature, and architecture accumulate like geological strata.
The overall layout transforms the journey itself into a landscape.

Volubilis ruins
The Volubilis ruins, considered the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, convey the traces of a city that flourished around the 2nd century. On the vast site, you can find remains of noble houses with beautifully preserved mosaics, triumphal arches, a basilica, temples, and other structures that allow you to appreciate the layout of a Roman city.
This area was also known for olive oil production, and remains of oil presses still exist. Located on a hill, it offers excellent views, and the plain stretching beyond the ruins is another attraction. You can quietly trace back the memories of the civilization that once thrived here.
