Travel story
Stepping onto the land of El Salvador, timeless stories quietly speak to us. Leaving behind the still-sleeping city of San Salvador in the morning, we set off in search of the breath of history. At the Joya de Cerén archaeological site, ancient life wrapped in volcanic ash from 1,400 years ago greets us as if time has stopped. In that silence, we can feel the breath of the people from the past.

Next, at the San Andrés archaeological site, the grand heritage of the Maya civilization unfolds. The acropolis and pyramids rise tall, telling tales of former glory. After a lunch break, we head to the Tazumal archaeological site in Chalchuapa. Here, Maya structures influenced by Mexico speak to us across the ages.

The memories of the past encountered in the land of El Salvador will surely provide us with a new perspective in our hearts.
