Signature points
Varied activities
The focus of this trip is a stay in Saariselkä surrounded by the vast nature of Lapland. There are plenty of experiences that let you become one with nature, such as hiking in the national park and electric fat bike safaris across snowy roads. The appeal is that, without being rushed by travel, you can settle in one base and fully savor each activity.
A special night under the aurora
During your stay in Saariselkä, a nighttime aurora camp is included, offering the possibility of encountering a fantastic night sky where curtains of light spread. Time spent by a warm bonfire in the environment unique to Lapland is an experience you cannot get from ordinary sightseeing. Accommodation in an aurora cabin is also planned, offering a special time sleeping while gazing at the night sky from the window.

Aurora Camp on the Border
“It is hard to imagine a more spectacular sight than the Northern Lights – except to see the Northern Lights reflected on the surface of a flowing river”
Take a seat on the bus and enjoy the nocturnal landscape of Lapland. We drive through the silent village of Ivalo, on the winding road toward the tiny village Nellim, situated near the slumbering border of our enormous neighbour Russia.
We continue for a kilometre to the Paatsjoki River bridge. We will make a fire under the open sky and wait for the Northern Lights to flare up. And when they do, the sight is incomparable: the river flowing freely and rapidly towards Russia, reflecting the silhouette of the forest and the red and green flames of the Northern Lights covering the skies. An experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
