Travel story
Fold the map and follow your feet
Both the city of water and the city of stone are best discovered by getting pleasantly lost
Unscheduled time is the shortcut to getting to know a city
—
This is a short itinerary focused on walking the city, staying in Venice where canals and alleys overlap, and Prague where cobblestones and squares continue. Without a guide and without fixing times or routes in detail, you can stop by cafes and take detours, spending time to the rhythm of the city. Even with limited days, by walking you'll naturally see the contours of the city—it's a high-degree-of-freedom, stay-oriented plan.
Signature points
Freedom to explore the city—made possible by not having a guide
The itinerary doesn't fix the order of sights or the length of visits, letting you walk according to how you feel that day. You can stop in a square or be drawn into an alley, naturally bringing you closer to the city.
A two-city focus that leaves a lasting impression even on a short stay
By focusing on two cities with different characters, Venice and Prague, you won't be rushed by travel and can fully savor each city's atmosphere. Even with limited days, impressions won't be scattered.
A carefree, grown-up trip at your own pace
Because the plan doesn't cram too much in, mornings and evening walks are free. Beyond tourist attractions, you can encounter scenes that feel like an extension of everyday life—another charm unique to this itinerary.

Classic Gondola Ride 1 h
We begin this gondola ride on the Grand Canal, outside the famous “Galleries” which host the largest collection of Venetian painting. Entering the San Trovaso Canal, you’ll admire the church of the same name which recalls the classic Palladian lines.
Next to the church is the traditional “Squero” San Trovaso boatyard which has been continuously active in gondola construction since the 1600s. Today the Squero carries on the age-old tradition of building and maintaining gondolas, the pride of Venice. The traditional “Squeri” boatyards continue with the equally famous Squero Tramontin, and passing through the canals of Dorsoduro you reach the Grand Canal. Here you’ll have a breath-taking view of the most enchanting waterways in the world lined with its famous Palazzi and the famous Rialto Bridge. The ride ends returning back to the boarding dock.

Strahov Monastery Tickets
The monastery was founded in 1140 by Vladislav II and the Premonstratensian Order. The church houses the remains of Saint Norbert, founder of the order.
Destroyed by fire in 1258 and rebuilt in the Gothic style, Strahov Monastery underwent a major Baroque renovation in the 17th century, which gave it most of its current appearance.
Its famous library, which is over 800 years old, remains one of the most important in Bohemia despite being pillaged by many invaders. It contains illuminated manuscripts, maps, terrestrial and celestial globes, and engravings from the Middle Ages.

Prague Castle tickets
The largest castle complex not only in the Czech Republic, but anywhere in the world, forms part of Prague’s distinctive skyline. Stroll through the castle courtyards, see the Old Royal Palace, explore the Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslas and Adalbert, visit Saint George’s Basilica, and wander down the picturesque Golden Lane.
We also recommend a meander through the Royal Garden, where, besides its numerous enchanting nooks and crannies, you will come across Renaissance gems – the Ball Games Hall and Queen Anne’s Summer Palace, also known as Belveder.
Founded in the 9th century, Prague Castle became the seat of Bohemian kings and then Czech presidents and has been a symbol of the Czech state for more than a thousand years.
